History
GloCell was founded in 2004 as a fiber and furnish consulting company for pulp and
papermakers. Since then, it has become one of the best on the market to provide solutions
to steer on cost, quality, and sustainability improvements. Our software SoftaCell™ was first
introduced as a stand-alone version in 2012. An advanced SaaS version of SoftaCell™ was
in production in 2025. SoftaCell™ is used daily to simulate and optimize millions of tons of
pulp, paper, board and tissue products.
Core Competences
Our core competences are in fiber physics, mathematical modelling and a broad understanding of the pulp and paper industry. We combine hands on knowledge with a deep theoretical understanding of furnish. Our aim is that our users benefit from cost savings as well as quality and sustainability improvements in their production.

projects, fiber segregation consultation and value based marketing support for pulp, paper
and board. Our consultation combines the use of our advanced software and
understanding of raw material behavior combined with economical knowledge. All projects
need to be designed case by case to ensure the best fit for the customers’ needs.
